Computer Class Catalog
Registration is limited and must be done in-person at the library. There is a $5 refundable deposit per class payable in cash at the time of registration.

This beginning class will cover a general overview of the computer, starting with how to turn it on, using the mouse and keyboard, working with Windows, and basic computer terminology.
Learn about the World Wide Web, how to navigate a Web browser such as Google, and explore the library's Web site. *Computer Basics training or familiarity with basic mouse, keyboard, and computer functions required.
Provides hands-on exercises and goes into more depth about Internet searching. *Internet Basics Class required to attend.**NO EXCEPTIONS.
Learn about common tactics and scams, and how to better protect yourself from these threats. *Internet Basics Class required to attend. **NO EXCEPTIONS.
Learn how to set up a free Gmail account, send and read messages, and send attachments. *Internet Basics training or familiarity with the Internet required to attend.
Intro to Microsoft Word:
Participants will get an overview of Microsoft Word, create a simple document, correct spelling, adjust margins, save, print, and open files. *Must have Computer Basics training or familiarity with basic computer functions.
Intro to Excel:
Participants will get an overview of Excel, create a simple spreadsheet, basic table, adjust margins, save, print, and open files. *Must have Computer Basics training or familiarity with basic computer functions.
Intro to eBay:
Learn to create an eBay account! Participants will learn the basics of buying and selling on the largest Internet auction site on the web.*Must have Intermediate Internet training or familiarity using the Internet.
Intro to Facebook:
Participants will set up a basic profile, learn how to accept & send a friend request, the difference between writing on a wall & sending a message, and learn about basic Facebook security features. *A valid email is required. Must have Intermediate Internet training or familiarity using the Internet.
Intro to Our Digital Archives:
Join our Historical Liaison, as she demonstrates how to access and explore "The Fowlerville Review" and the "Fowlerville News and Views" in the library computer lab. *Familiarity with basic mouse, keyboard, and computer functions required.
Intro to Ancestry.com:
Learn the basics of this genealogy site and begin to explore your family tree from the comfort of your local library. *Must have Intermediate Internet training or familiarity using the Internet.
